Mission

The mission of True Outreach Inc. is to provide evidence based treatment and rehabilitation services to individual with substance use and addiction problems, and assist them in returning to their previous level of functioning.

Vision

True Outreach Inc. envisions to be an exemplary organization seeking to assist the community in eradicating illicit drug use and related crime, there by improving the quality of its citizens.

Philosophy

TRUE OUTREACH INC views chemical dependency as a primary disease, which is progressive and potentially fatal. It may severely impair functioning in all major life areas.
TRUE OUTREACH INC provides programs that deliver a comprehensive individualized continuum of care for chemically dependent persons and their family members who have been affected by the disease of alcoholism and/or drug abuse/dependence. This philosophy applies to all programs and services provided

What We Do?

TRUE OUTREACH INC provides individualized treatment in a therapeutic community to all clients admitted to our programs. A wide variety of treatment modalities are used. The following treatment modalities apply to all core programs.
  • Group 639
    Individual Counseling is employed for all clients. The approach is usually intensive, brief, problem specific, with short-term goals such as resolving a problem, decision making, carrying out a procrastinated act, or reducing the effects of a symptom. The counseling may involve the client’s counselor prior to admission and/or the client’s counselor following discharge. This is encouraged to enhance continuity and consistency in care.
  • Group 639
    Group Counseling is a focused group counseling session, which deals with issues identified by either clients or counselors. Emphasis is on emotional and behavioral issues, which affect clients from chemical dependency illness.
  • Group 639
    Alcohol and Drug Seminar is an educational lecture/discussion session, which deals with specific issues pertaining to chemical dependency. Content will vary according to client’s needs. Examples of topics are denial, spirituality, tools of sobriety, enabling, physical and psychological consequences of chemical dependency and other topics that help the client with their goals for their future and lifestyle by avoiding negative consequences or outcomes.
  • Group 639
    Life Skills Group This group consists of educational lectures/discussions using topics including identifying personal triggers, developing strategies to avoid triggers, identifying personal relapse dynamics and improving and utilizing sober support systems, stress management, coping skills, anxiety, anger, self-esteem, and communication. Individuals will be given homework assignments as well as group assignments to improve the ability to deal with situations with high relapse potential.
  • Group 639
    Spirituality Group deals with spiritual issues, which contribute, to emotional well-being and a life free of chemical dependency.
  • Group 639
    Family Program is designed to assist family members and clients in reorienting and restructuring relationship systems. This component involves family members in an education program, as well as counseling sessions. These sessions are supportive experiences providing opportunities to share and question aspects of the client’s care relative to family interaction and/or intervention of the client’s illness. The goal of the Family Program is to provide the family with opportunities to increase understanding and knowledge regarding chemical dependency, and to be assisted in enhancement of client and family stress management, communication, and leisure time skills. Client family members are invited to attend on Thursday groups.
  • Group 639
    Educational Groups are provided to give understanding in areas affecting our daily living and are holistic in approach. Topics may include assertiveness, communication, nutrition, stress management, anger, discharge expectations, finances, wellness, vocational planning, grieving-loss, medication management, etc. These groups encourage independence, socialization, creativity and cooperation.
  • Group 639
    Interpersonal Communication Skills Groups deal with specific problems in verbal and non-verbal communication among people. The general goals are to enhance self-reliance and personal confidence through increased skills in accurate and sensitive communication with other.
